Material Selections

There are many factors that contribute to determining the correct material for your specific manifold application. The environment in which it will operate, application, working pressure, weight, and other variables all influence which material choice is the correct one. We offer most of our Standard Product Line in both 6061-T6 aluminum and Dura-Bar 65-45-12 continuous-cast ductile iron. These two materials, along with available surface coatings, offer material solutions for your hydraulic and pneumatic applications. In addition to these two materials, we have experience manufacturing Custom Products using 2024 aluminum, 7075 Aluminum, CR36 brass and various grades of carbon and stainless steel.

Improved machinability and longer tool life have led to reduced cost. Consistent grain structure and the absence of voids and inclusions have improved quality. Better surface finishes, increased vibration-dampening characteristics, reduction of burrs, increased strength and lighter weight have all resulted in improved product performance.
